Gordon Nicolson Kiltmakers have teamed up to design a tartan to celebrate the tremendous work of Kidney Kids Scotland. Kidney Kids Scotland opened in July 2000 to support families all over Scotland who had children suffering from renal illness.
Kidney Kids Scotland is the only charity based in Scotland that supports renal illness. They do this by providing hospitals with equipment and funding for essential posts. Primarily they work with The Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow as this is the centre for children with renal illness. It is the only hospital in Scotland to perform paediatric haemodiaysis and transplantation.
In addition to helping with the physical needs of these children, Kidney Kids Scotland work to make sure no family is put under financial burden while they worry about their child’s health. They provide much needed financial and emotional support. This can be as simple as introducing them to other families in their situation or providing a listening ear.
At Gordon Nicolson Kiltmakers we believe this is a fundamental charity to the health of children throughout the company. We were proud to mark the incredible work and achievements of Kidney Kids Scotland by designing a tartan that would signify them as part of Scottish heritage. This design marks the hard work and dedication of all the team at Kidney Kids Scotland while also paying tribute to the bravery of the families who are affected by renal illnesses.
All profits from the Kidney Kids Tartan products will go directly to Kidney Kids Scotland.
