We couldn't have been prouder to end this exceptionally tough year on such a high!
For the second time we were asked by BBC's Saturday night prime time show Strictly Come Dancing to create a handmade kilt, this time for JJ Chalmers. One of this years favourites and the one and only Scotsman part of this years celebrity line up. We loved JJ's story and the amazing dance journey he was on as part of Strictly this year.

The kilt was created in an extremely short time frame to ensure JJ had it for dress rehearsals. Our kiltmaker, Emma, worked tirelessly to make sure the kilt got from Edinburgh to London on time! Tailored from Cameron of Erracht Modern tartan from Lochcarron of Scotland and styled with a handmade McRostie sporran, this wasn't just a wonderful opportunity for GNK, but also a few friends in the Highlandwear industry too. As a nod to JJ's time as a Royal Marine and Invictus Games medallist, we decided to pleat the kilt to the traditional military stripe.
We even received featured in The Scotsman and The Edinburgh Evening News and excitement over JJ's brand new kilt spread!
The week culminated on another high - JJ and his wonderful dance partner Amy, sending us a personal thank you video and the couple getting through to the Quarter-Finals of the show!
