Corporate &  Private Tartan Talks Policy

Thank you for choosing GNK for your corporate event. We will do everything we can to ensure your group make the most of their Scottish experience.  

It is important that you use the information issued in this document and read it all carefully.

Tartan Talks

• Traditional Talk – suits any group.
  - this includes a welcoming tune from a bagpiper, a walk through the history of the kilt and the opportunity for a
  member of the group to get dressed up in the Féileadh Mór (the Great Kilt). 
• Bagpipe Talk - suits any group.
  - the same Traditional Talk with a separate introduction to the bagpipes from a piper.
• Kiltmakers Academy Talk – suits a creative group with an interest in sewing.
  - the same Traditional Talk but with more emphasis on the making of a kilt and a visit to our on-site Edinburgh Kiltmakers Academy. Please note we only have kiltmakers in store Mon-Fri. 

Tartan Talks Terms & Conditions

• All talks are held in our St Mary’s Street premises. Clients are welcome in for a site inspection but please book beforehand
•  Maximum group size is 22pax.
• Changes can be made up to 48 hours before the event. Any changes after this time can't be guaranteed.
• Cancellations within 48 hours of the event/no shows must pay in full.
• Minimum talk length is 30 minutes. Typically our maximum length is 60 minutes but we can discuss delivery of longer experiences.
• Please bear in mind that clients may have questions after the talk so we need to allow time for this.
• An interpreter is welcome to attend the talks but please let us know beforehand so we can tailor the talk to accommodate this.
• An invoice will be issued after the event and payment is due on receipt. If you wish to make payment before the event please get in touch.

• Bagpipe Talk (Traditional talk with separate talk & playing from piper)

• Kilt Academy Talk (Traditional talk with visit to Academy)
